After a reasonably slow start with the recent introduction of Facebook Watch, they have decided to boost their efforts with Video by creating the “Facebook Creator” app.

According to “Google Trends”, search popularity for the “Facebook live stream” has risen over 330% from its inception to date with spikes in accordance to major events, publisher and influencer adoption, and New Year’s Eve (Facebook Live’s heaviest date of use so far).

Facebook has decided to launch a new tool for video creators, as a way to encourage more organic content creation on Facebook.

What features are available with the app?

1. Creative options for intros and outros on Live Streaming.
2. Ability to post and share content straight to your Facebook stories.
3. More detailed metrics and analytics around Video content on Facebook.
4. Customisable reactions (creators can replace existing reactions with custom-made ones of their choice.


There is so much opportunities for Video creators on Facebook — allowing them to create more high-quality streaming content, and the cross posting with Facebook stories.

For me, it’s a great way to encourage video creators to be spending more time on Facebook, which could eventually see more people willing to watch long form content across Facebook rather than YouTube.
